The Wedding

Ceremony & Reception

Our wedding will take place on Saturday June 6th, 2015 in Sevilla, Spain – Ángela's hometown. The ceremony will be at a moorish castle in the town of Mairena del Alcor, where Ángela's paternal family comes from. The reception will be in the city, Sevilla, at a restaurant called Malaspina Restaurante (previously called Nantara Puerto), where drinks, tapas, and dinner will be served.

Please keep in mind that this is an evening wedding and the dancing and partying will last until late at night – or should we say early in the morning, as is customary of Spanish weddings.

The Couple

They met on September 26th, 2011 in El Paso, TX when Ángela was an international student at NMSU and when Brandon was also a student at NMSU studying business. They instantly fell in love and have been together ever since. In the beginning there was a lot of distance and long times spent apart, but throughout the long-distance relationship Brandon made plenty of visits to Spain, and they even spent some time living in Berlin while Brandon worked on earning credits in German for his Foreign Languages degree. They never had doubts of their love for each other, so Ángela made plans to come back to Las Cruces. Since August 2013, Ángela has been working at NMSU as a Spanish teacher all while taking classes to receive a Master's degree (with Honors) in Spanish Linguistics and a minor in English Linguistics. The couple then got engaged in May 2014, and began to plan their future together. They have two kitties, Roxy and Arya.

The Bride-to-be

Ángela is 24 years old and was born in Sevilla, Spain. She speaks Spanish, English, German and some Italian and has lived in 3 countries so far, as well as visited many more, mainly in Europe. She has a degree in Translation and Interpreting (Spanish, German and English) and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Spanish Linguistics while working as a Spanish teacher all at NMSU.

The Groom-to-be

Brandon is 26 years old and was born in Las Cruces, NM. He speaks English and German and is currently learning Spanish. He shares with Ángela the passion for traveling, which works perfectly with his other passion for photography. Brandon graduated from NMSU with degrees in International Business, Management with an emphasis on Leadership, and Foreign Languages – German. He currently works as the manager of the Internet Department at Coas Books, Inc.

The Honeymoon

Italy does not only have amazing food and culture, but is the total package for any travel enthusiast. Given that the bride-to-be speaks just enough Italian to travel around the country and that the groom-to-be has never had the chance to visit this old Mediterranean country, it's the perfect option for their honeymoon!
